Schemmer was retained to design a new 5,000 SF library in downtown Essex. The building form, with its high clerestory windows, provides natural light into the heart of the library. The library plan provides for a 30 percent future growth of stack space within the new structure. The open plan provides for flexibility and easy segregation of the children’s area from the adult reading areas.
