Project Details

Schemmer developed a program; conceptual design and budget estimate; and final design documents for the building and the 13-acre site located in an industrial development site near Eppley Airfield. The new 72,656 SF facility replaced the Service Center on South Saddle Creek Road and was open for business in early 2011.The new Omaha Service Center, notable for its modern design and environmentally sustainable construction includes: office areas, crew leaders area, assembly area, toilets, locker rooms, operations for 36 vehicle/equipment stalls, stores, transportation maintenance garage and support spaces. It was made possible by a land exchange between longtime neighbors UNMC and OPPD. The project earned LEED Platinum status.
