Joe brings more than a decade of surveying and construction experience to his role as Survey Team Lead at Schemmer. He supports transportation, municipal infrastructure, site development and construction projects across Nebraska and Iowa, providing project teams with the accurate information they need to move confidently from design into the field.

His experience covers a wide range of survey services, including construction staking, ALTAs, boundary and topographic surveys, as-built documentation and right-of-way staking. Joe combines that field experience with technology such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Trimble to collect and translate survey data into information designers and construction teams can put to work.

Joe has worked on roadway and utility improvements, streetscape projects, storm sewer and water main systems, levees, and public and private development projects. His hands-on experience also shapes his approach to quality control and team leadership. Having worked his way from Rodman to Assistant Survey Manager and now Survey Team Lead, Joe enjoys sharing what he has learned in the field and helping younger surveyors develop their skills. His advice to those starting out is simple: ask questions.

That same approach carries over to his work with clients. Joe enjoys being part of a client-driven business and takes pride in delivering survey work that gives clients and project teams confidence in what comes next.

Outside of work, Joe is a Husker football fan, enjoys gardening and stays plenty busy with his three boys.
