Michael has 25 years of diverse experience in new construction and renovation projects from design through construction administration. His experience includes a vast array of mixed-use developments, military, industrial, commercial, student housing, K-12, higher education, and recreational projects. Michael received a Bachelor of Science degree in Design from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2006 and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2009. He is a graduate of the 2017/2018 Schemmer Leadership Academy class. Michael is a licensed architect in Nebraska and South Dakota and has served on boards for the American Institute of Architects at both the local and state level.

• He and his wife have made their 1950’s Mid-Century Modern home a life-long renovation project…and yes, they agree on EVERYTHING design-related.
• They have six kids ranging from age 6 to 25, 2 wonderful grand-daughters and his only piece of parenting advice is to not take parenting advice.
• Architectural design and construction have been in his blood since the very beginning, thanks to his father designing and building both of his childhood homes. The aroma of newly poured concrete and freshly sawn lumber is like oxygen to him.
