Paula is the Accounting and Benefits Manager at Schemmer, where she oversees the firm’s financial and administrative functions, including accounting, payroll, employee benefits, and vendor relations. With more than two decades of experience at the firm, she ensures operational accuracy, efficiency, and alignment across key business systems.
Her expertise spans accounts payable and receivable, third-party administration, wellness initiatives, and Deltek Administration. She is recognized for her disciplined, detail-oriented approach and her ability to support both organizational performance and employee well-being.
Paula holds a degree in Management Information Systems with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Phoenix and a Master’s degree in Health Promotion Management from Nebraska Methodist College. She is pursuing certification in Directing Benefit Programs, is a Certified Payment Reporting Specialist, and is a member of the American Payroll Association. She is also a graduate of Schemmer’s Leadership Academy and has held leadership roles in local nonprofit organizations.
Paula believes laughter is the best medicine and brings that mindset into her daily work. She is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, having served nearly 10 years, and is an advocate for individuals with disabilities.
