With nearly 40 years of experience, Steve is currently the Manager of Schemmer’s Architecture group in the Sioux Falls office. His background includes new construction, additions, and renovations, from design through construction administration. His experience includes federal, state, and military projects, K-12, higher education, commercial, retail, office, multi-family housing, and recreational projects.

He is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and supervising all the architectural production activities for the Sioux Falls office. He also provides technical and administrative supervision to project managers and architectural personnel, ensuring that the technical, administrative, timeframe, and scheduled targets of projects are met with professional standards. Steve’s dedication and attention to detail ensure that his projects meet and exceed client expectations.

Steve is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI).

• Coached girls travel fast-pitch softball and youth baseball for 15 years. His girl’s fast pitch teams made it to Nationals several times, finishing in the top 10 twice.
• Steve and his wife are currently working on attending a Minnesota Twins game at all the Major League Baseball parks (30) and visiting as many Minor League Baseball parks (180) as possible along the way.
• Enjoys open-water and ice fishing.
