Zach brings more than a decade of accounting and finance experience to his role as Schemmer’s Manager of Finance. He oversees the firm’s financial operations across all office locations, helping provide the information and insight needed to support sound business decisions.

His responsibilities span nearly every part of Schemmer’s financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, audits, taxes, purchasing, leases, corporate licensing and insurance. Zach also manages relationships with lending institutions and works across the firm to ensure teams have accurate financial and operational data when they need it.

Zach earned both his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He graduated cum laude and was recognized as one of three outstanding graduates in Accounting and Finance in 2015. The following year, he was named an outstanding graduate of UNK’s MBA program. Zach earned his Certified Public Accountant license in 2018.

Outside of work, Zach is rarely far from sports. He enjoys golf, pickleball, softball and basketball, and is passionate about fitness and nutrition. He’s also a regular at Husker football and basketball games. When he’s not catching a game or staying active, Zach enjoys traveling and going to concerts whenever he gets the chance.
