Schemmer's Pat Birch Attends Clarkson Commons & Education Center Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting
Schemmer's Pat Birch, AIA, LEED AP, Architect and Senior Project Manager, attended the virtual Clarkson Commons & Education Center grand opening and ribbon cutting. The project has been a decade in the making and more than 50 participants attended the online event that officially opened the space for students, staff and faculty members.
Clarkson Commons & Education Center Project
Pat served as the project manager and together with Schemmer’s team worked alongside Clarkson College representatives to reenvision the building and provide a central hub for student and faculty activity for the College. The newly remodeled two-level Clarkson Commons & Education Center, located at Douglas and 42nd Streets in Omaha, Nebraska, provides 14,300 SF of space which includes:
- study and collaboration rooms for students,
- classrooms,
- student support services,
- faculty and staff offices and
- conference space.
Schemmer provided professional services for architectural design; building information modeling; interior design; structural, mechanical and electrical engineering; and construction administration.
