Construction Underway on Senior Living Development near Des Moines
As winter's grip loosens and warmer temperatures take its place, construction is getting ramped up at the Amare Vita Senior Living Development in Clive, IA.

Located approximately 10 miles west of Downtown Des Moines, the development features 58 stand-alone villas and a shared clubhouse. The independent living design incorporates convenience factors like zero-entry homes. The development will offer seven unique design plans for residents.
Schemmer provided our client, MavenCrux, with Architectural and Structural Engineering design while keeping sustainability in mind. "At Schemmer, we are advocates for enhancing the environments for today's seniors. The MavenCrux Project was a great opportunity for Schemmer to tap into our experience in both Senior Living and Sustainable design. We utilized a system that minimized the lumber waste for the entire project to less than a desk-sized pile," said Shane Larsen, AIA, NCARB.
Construction started in March 2023 and is expected to be complete by the fall of 2023.
