Schemmer Announces Eight New Associates
Omaha, Neb. – The Schemmer Associates Inc. (Schemmer), a local full-service architecture, engineering and construction field services consultant, is pleased to announce John Bloom, AIA, LEED AP, CDT; Rob DuVall, PE; Tyler Lerdahl, PE; Josh Murphy, BPAC; John Pluta; Andrew Pullmann, PE, LEED AP BD+C; Alex Roth, PE; and Kevin Snook, were invited to Schemmer’s Associate Incentive Program (AIP) for demonstrating the leadership and professional business characteristics necessary to participate in the program.
John Bloom, AIA, LEED AP, CDT, has 18 years of diverse architecture experience in new construction and renovation projects from design through construction administration. His experience includes multi-family residential, commercial office, historic preservation, senior living, entertainment and educational facilities. John received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Iowa State University. He is a graduate of the 2017/2018 Schemmer Leadership Academy class, and a member of the American Institute of Architects, Technical Advisory Network for the State Historic Preservation Office of Iowa and Hoyt Sherman Place Board of Directors.
Rob DuVall, PE, has 10 years of experience and specializes in civil/site design that includes grading, drainage, utilities, paving, lighting and other site improvements. His project experience includes site development, stormwater quality and management, ADA accessibility, septic system design, pavement repair, sediment basin removal and bike/trail projects, as well as Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans (SPCCP) and Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) reports. Rob has served a wide range of clients in the commercial, multi-family housing, senior living, residential development and public works markets. Rob received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in Civil Engineering. He is a graduate of the 2019/2020 Schemmer Leadership Academy class and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Engineers Club of Omaha, Water Environment Federation and serves on the Board for Nebraska Foundation for Cancer Research.
Tyler Lerdahl, PE, has eight years of civil engineering experience providing services for municipalities, cities, state departments of transportation, as well as private clients. In addition to his design experience on numerous roadway and ADA curb ramp projects, Tyler’s experience includes the setup of the Miovision video data collection equipment, monitoring the equipment and collection of data from each station. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Civil Engineering. Tyler is a graduate of the 2018/2019 Schemmer Leadership Academy class and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Chi Epsilon (Civil Engineering Honor Society).
Josh Murphy, BPAC, has nine years of experience managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology and oversees Schemmer’s BIM and 3D Scanning services. Working with the firm’s designers, together they offer Owners and General Contractors a streamlined approach to the construction process and give clients 3D visualization of their project. Josh received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Architecture. He is a graduate of the 2018/2019 Schemmer Leadership Academy class, an Autodesk Certified Professional, and a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, Omaha BIM Collaborative and Omaha STEM Ecosystem.
John Pluta has 19 years of experience and serves as Schemmer’s Information Technology Manager. He is responsible for managing the Company’s information technology and computer systems, ensuring security of data, network access and backup systems, along with addressing user needs and system functionality. John received a Bachelor of Science degree from DeVry University in Telecommunications Management. He is a graduate of the 2017/2018 Schemmer Leadership Academy class.
Andrew Pullmann, PE, LEED AP BD+C, has nine years of experience as a mechanical engineer with specialized experience in educational facilities, natatoriums, commercial, multi-family housing, retail and museums. His experience includes pre-construction services, HVAC and energy studies, schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction administration and close out activities. Andrew received a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University in mechanical engineering.
Alex Roth, PE, has eight years of experience specializing in hydraulic analysis and roadway design. He is responsible for the hydraulic analysis of all types of projects with complex drainage or floodplain permitting, including all bridge modeling, culvert analysis, open channel flow and complex floodplain certifications for Schemmer. In addition to hydraulic analysis, Alex regularly works on roadway design projects for our transportation group. His roadway design experience focuses on preliminary and final design phases, GeoPAK modeling, cost estimates and plan reviews for submittal. Alex received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in civil engineering and is a graduate of the 2017/2018 Schemmer Leadership Academy class.
Kevin Snook, Transportation Designer, has 25 years of experience in transportation engineering and surveying. Kevin has spent a large portion of his career designing and managing transportation projects, while continuing to implement, train and support civil engineering design software. His experience includes state, county, municipal and federal projects. Kevin is also a Federal Aviation Administration Certified remote pilot with a small unmanned aircraft system rating that allows him to fly drones commercially. He received an Associate in Science degree from Southeast Community College in Surveying with a minor in CADD Applications. He is a graduate of the 2016/2017 Schemmer Leadership Academy class, and a member of the Nebraska Department of Transportation Modeling User Group and Iowa Digital Design & Engineering.
