Kansas City, MO – Schemmer has expanded its presence in the Kansas City metro area with the acquisition of Convergence Design, now known as Convergence Design, A Schemmer Company.

This move gives us a physical presence in the region and brings a Kansas City-based team together with a wider group of architects, engineers, and support staff across the firm. For clients, the experience should feel familiar. The same local leadership and staff remain in place, now backed by additional technical resources and multidisciplinary expertise.

For more than 16 years, Convergence Design has focused on public assembly projects. Their work centers on creating places where people gather, celebrate, and connect. That background strengthens Schemmer’s ability to support complex projects for both public and private clients.

The Kansas City office will continue to be led by David Greusel, FAIA, whose career includes serving as lead designer on nationally recognized projects such as Daikin Park in Houston and PNC Park in Pittsburgh. Team members of Convergence Design have joined Schemmer, and the Kansas City staff will remain in place and continue to grow.

What this means for clients is simple. The same trusted team, now supported by a deeper bench of architectural, engineering, and administrative resources.
