After the Afton Care Center closed its doors last fall, the Afton Development Corporation (ADC) hopes to identify a new use for the landmark building.

On Wednesday, February 5, 2020, Schemmer's Shane Larsen, AIA, NCARB, presented our qualifications to the ADC to provide a feasibility study to determine the remodeling of the Afton Care Center into assisted living and/or elderly housing units.
Schemmer's scope of services will include:
- Review the building and drawings
- Create a conceptual sketch for review
- Review the concept with the State for initial compliance
- Prepare a report with initial construction costs for review
