Throwback Thursday – Expanding Geographic Reach
In 1970, Schemmer expanded its geographic reach into Iowa to meet new opportunities. A quad cities engineering and surveying firm was purchased, and Schemmer sent a civil engineer and surveyor to Davenport, Iowa to run the firm’s first branch office. One of our first major clients in the Quad Cities was Northwest Bank & Trust. Schemmer designed the bank’s new nine-story corporate headquarters, the firm’s first high-rise building.
