Construction Update - Waterford Office Building
Construction began in October 2019 on this four-story, 180,000 SF, Class A office building for R & R Realty located at Fountain Ridge East near 192nd and Dodge Streets. Multiple office buildings are planned for the business park and Waterford is the first to become a reality.
Waterford Office Building includes:
- two underground parking garages
- 20,000 SF floor plates
- a third floor rooftop terrace
- an amphitheater
The central commons area includes many functions important to Class A office space such as:
- multi-purpose room for meetings, banquets or presentations
- exercise facilities
- conference space
- coffee break area
- small “Makerspace” lease space*
Schemmer provided the following design services for the project:
- architecture,
- structural engineering,
- mechanical engineering and
- electrical engineering
Waterford is being constructed by Boyd Jones Construction and is on schedule to be completed in the third quarter of 2021.
*Makerspace is a place in which people with shared interests, especially in computing or technology, can gather to work on projects while sharing ideas, equipment and knowledge.
