Angels Among Us Awarded Schemmer Gives Back 2022 Project
We are pleased to announce our employee-led community initiative - Schemmer Gives Back will be providing planning and programming services for Angels Among Us' future facility design and construction needs.
About Angels Among Us
Angels Among Us was established in April 2006 by a woman who saw her friend’s family struggle during their pediatric cancer journey and wanted to give back. The organization received 501c3 status in June of the same year. Angels Among Us began as a grassroots organization and has grown into an initiative that supports nearly all of the pediatric cancer patients receiving treatment in Nebraska.
Currently, Angels Among Us works with families of children with cancer being treated at Nebraska hospitals (even if these families reside in other states) as well as Nebraska residents receiving treatments out of state.
Through the countless efforts of our board members, community volunteers, and donors, we have distributed more than $3.4 million to over 560 families in need. We’re just getting started.
