Jeff Kulhanek, P.E.
Schemmer is pleased to announce that Jeff Kulhanek, P.E., and Matt Shimerdla, P.E. have joined the firm. Kulhanek as Manager, Mechanical Engineering and Shimerdla, as Manager, Transportation for the Lincoln office.
Kulhanek is a licensed professional engineer in Nebraska and South Dakota. He has 13 years of experience as a mechanical engineer including work in various sectors such as higher education as well as in senior living and healthcare. At Schemmer, Kulhanek will plan, organize, direct, coordinate and supervise all activities of the mechanical engineering department, primarily out of the Lincoln office, but will occasionally work from the Omaha office throughout the week. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Nebraska - Lincoln in Lincoln, Neb.
Matt Shimerdla, P.E.
Shimerdla is a licensed professional engineer in Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota, with 19 years of experience as a transportation engineer including managing projects for a number of City, County and State clients throughout the Midwest. At Schemmer, all Lincoln-based roadway design staff will report to Shimerdla. He has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.
